Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It is typically played on a rectangular court with a net, and the game involves hitting a perforated plastic ball over the net using paddles. Pickleball can be played in singles or doubles, and the objective is to score points by making the ball land in the opponent’s side of the court. It’s known for its accessibility to players of all ages and skill levels, making it a popular and social sport.

Pickleball was invented in 1965 by three fathers from Bainbridge Island, Washington to entertain their kids.

Due to its growing popularity, pickleball is now taught in many grade schools and junior high schools.

Despite the name, pickleball has nothing to do with actual pickles.
