Traditional Knitted Shade Fabric

American Playground & Recreation fabric blocks up to 99% of harmful UV rays, depending upon the color you’ve chosen for your shade structure. Our UV stabilized fabric is created from high-density polyethylene and Raschel knitted to resist fading, abrading, rotting, shrinkage, and unraveling. We also have a unique thread that allows the fabric to “breathe” allowing the hot air to rise and escape. This selection of fabric colors is fire retardant and passes the NFPA 701 and ASTM E84 tests. Most of our traditional shade fabric color offering is California Fire Marshal certified, which is the highest standard for flame resistance. When ordering, please inquire about your color selection being certified and the associated lead time.

This selection of fabric colors is truly unique. Two different color yarns are combined to form a single dual colored fabric (with a top and bottom color) that produces a shimmery effect.
